Middle Ages Project Review
During our medieval studies, our group created a catapult and a documentary for our subject of medieval warfare. Our group met its set goals of learning certain things about warfare in the middle ages. I met all of my personal goals including to make sure that I did as much as I could to complete my part, and help my partners, do this project. I felt that some of my partners did not do their best as I often had to help them with their parts. I learned a lot during this project including what brought the middle ages to an end and when it started. The middle ages began when weapons became more popular throughout the world and ended when gunpowder weapons were discovered. I could have been a lot more organized during this project because I did not really have everything planed out I more just worked on things as they came up. Also we didn’t really follow a strict schedule and kind of just blended both parts of the project together time wise. During this project I improved my building, researching, and leading skills because those are the skills that I exercised most during this project.
For our research we used many different sources. When I found something I usually compared it to Wikipedia to see the facts that I found were the same. We also made a bibliography in our essay and at the end of our documentary.
I often was frustrated with my group during this project because they would not take part in what we were doing or just got distracted and then distracted others. In our group I became the leader of sorts and assigned specific parts to my group mates so we could break up the work. Although not everyone in our group made a significant contribution some people did not spend enough time working on it or were just being lazy because they didn’t
If I was to do another project then I would like to do something similar to this if that is okay with the class. Next time though I would choose a better group because I think I didn’t do a good job of that this time around. Also I would probably make just one thing as opposed too a catapult and a documentary.
During this project I did my personal best to create my part and help my partners edit theirs. Although I might have been able to spend a little more time at home editing or even asking others to help me edit. Overall on this project I think I did well.
