For our humanaties project, David, Sydney, Sofia, and I decided to hold an election. We pretended we were running for president in the 2012 election. Sofia and I were Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama, and Sydney and David were Sarah Palin and Ron Paul.
In the beginning of this project the class decided that everybody should be in a group with people that they are not usually in a group with. My group made a mistake at the start by choosing our project before deciding what we wanted to learn. When we were writing our project outline we were looking for things that we could learn by doing the project that we selected. We also scheduled too conservatively and ended up being done sooner than the deadline.
During this project I felt like David and I often got distracted and during these times, I ended up forcing the leadership role on Sydney. I think I did well on the promotional advertisement that I created but it didn’t take me long to finish it, so I became distracted easily.
On an average day our group would be working at two tables. Sofia sat at her desk, Sydney at hers, Dave would move next to Sydney and I would be next to David or Sofia. I knew that when I sat next to David I would be distracted but I still sat next to him. In the end I did well on what I needed to do but I made the project to easy for myself.
